Description:

This organization provides general medicine, dentistry and education services to the residents of Cantón Choqui. Originally founded with the provision of international funds, Klass organization is ssuported by providing low cost services to people with low incomes and by managing a small pharmacy with basic medicine products; they also provide 65 scholarships for children in primary school.

Volunteer work: Paramedics or dentists will work in the clinic; the amount of work varies according to the number of patients treated. We also welcome psychologists to work with children in counseling or conflict resolution therapies. Other volunteers can work in reinforcement lessons in English, Math or in the elaboration of handicrafts.

Time amount: Working at the clinic: a minimum of 4weeks is required. The clinic runs from Monday to Friday from 8 – 18 hours and Saturdays from 8- 12hours.

Education area: We require a minimum of 3 weeks, from Monday – Friday during the afternoon.

Observations: The clinic has usually students from Medicine or Dentistry High Schools, but if you want to join us we will find the right activity for you.
